After graduating from UC Davis with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1979 Rich Lamb went to work for the international engineering and construction firm Fluor. Rich started with a home office assignment and then was relocated to South Africa. There he spent three years working on a $3.5-billion coal gasification project. When the project was complete Rich returned to southern California to work for Fluor until 1984 when he joined Webcor Builders as a Project Manager. Rich started by running Webcor’s Interior Construction division and moving into the building division a few short years later as a Vice President. In the mid-’90s when business began to take off, Rich was promoted to Executive Vice President and soon after assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer. He retired at the end of 2014 and now pursues his passion for assisting Bay Area and Los Angeles based construction companies with their growth and operational needs while mentoring the next generation of leaders.
